Whilst exploring the escarpment along the Panorama Route, a little past Graskop, God's Window is documented at more than 900 m high as onlookers gaze down into lush forest and ravines below, whist in the distance the Lowveld plays host to numerous private game reserves which make up an area known as South Africa's premier wildlife destination.
From the parking area a steep stepped footpath take you into the Nature Reserve and along the edge of the escarpment leading visitors to view points and the rain forest that provide magnificent views of canyons, rock formations and waterfalls.
Wonder View, about 2 km north of God's Window, has an altitude of 1,730 meters. This is the highest viewpoint in the area which on a clear day, along with God's Window, is an area of breathtaking scenic splendor.
Close by is Kathy’s personal favorite, Pinnacle Rock, which is a freestanding quartzite buttress of rock rising over 50 meters above the dense indigenous forest below. To the right of the Pinnacle Rock is the first of eight small waterfalls in the Ngwaritsane stream.
